On Friday, 29 July 2016, as part of the Woodstock Literary Festival, “
BOOKSTOCK” in Woodstock, Vermont, Chard deNiord, the Poet Laureate of
Vermont, will give two presentations.
At 10:00 a.m., as a Poetry Workshop at the Woodstock History Center,
deNiord will present “All Things Counter, Original, Spare, Strange.”
And at 1:00 p.m., with the same subject, deNiord will speak at the old
Universalist Hall in Woodstock.
In this age of countless imitations of pap from Billy Collins, Robert Bly,
and Garrison Keillor, Chard deNiord is unusual as one Poet Laureate who is
receptive to poetry that is unashamedly innovative and postmodern.
From 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at The ArtisTree Gallery in Woodstock, will be
the opening for a juried, book-art exhibition, “Unbound Volume Six,” where
the imaginative visual-poetry of diverse artists will be presented to the
