Poetics: (The Next) 25 Years Conference
Seminars: Seminar workshops will enable intensive conversation on particular topics in small groups. Participants in a seminar will circulate brief (5-7 page) papers to all members of their workshop in advance of the conference; there will be no formal presentations during the seminars, which will consist of discussion among participants. (A list of participants/emails will be provided by your seminar anchor.) Seminar facilitators may circulate questions for discussion or otherwise encourage reflection and communication before the conference. Seminar participation will be limited to 15, although the coordinator at discretion may allow an additional 3 guests who do not contribute papers. **All seminars will occur simultaneously, on Saturday morning from 9 – 10:45.** If you submit a proposal for a seminar that is already full, we will contact you immediately so that you can propose a paper for a different seminar.
To join a seminar: *Send your seminar paper proposal of no more than 250 words, the title of the seminar you’re submitting to, your email contact information, and a 1-2 sentence bio in the body of an email, to Judith Goldman <firstname.lastname@example.org<mailto:email@example.com>>, Myung Mi Kim <firstname.lastname@example.org<mailto:email@example.com>>, and/or Allison Cardon <firstname.lastname@example.org <mailto:email@example.com>>. Proposals will be added to seminars and forwarded to seminar facilitators in the order they are received. We will update seminar status on the website to indicate when they are full. Please note that seminars will all run concurrently; therefore, you need only submit to one seminar (we will let you know immediately if the seminar you’ve chosen is full, so you can submit to another). Proposals should be sent by Nov. 1.
