The Guild Literary Complex is a 26-year-old, community-based literary organization that presents diverse, divergent, and emerging voices through innovative programs including performances and readings. We put on approximately 30 to 40 events per year.
The Executive Director of the Guild Complex is a stimulating, creative, and visible position. S/he works with a number of artists and people involved in Chicago’s literary arts community. The Executive Director drives the Guild Complex mission.
Reports To: Board President and Executive Committee
Executive Director is a full-time position that is responsible for the development and execution of all day-to-day activities. This includes planning and staging monthly events, fundraising, marketing, and all administrative duties, The Executive Director works with artists, the Board, and volunteers to advance the mission of the organization. Currently the Executive Director is the only full-time paid staff member. The organization operates in a virtual work environment from the Executive Director’s home.
